Farah T. Mahbub, MD
OB/GYN
Farah Mahbub is originally from Bangladesh and moved with her family to Georgia at a young age. Having been exposed to poverty and a demand for quality healthcare in her native country, she has always had a passion for serving others. While in college at the University of Georgia, she realized her love for science and her aspiration to serve others were perfectly paired through the art of medicine. Farah loves to travel and explore the diversity in the cultures around the world. In medical school at the Medical College of Georgia she had an opportunity to travel to Peru on a medical mission trip against prevention of cervical cancer. This fueled her passion for women's health and she knew that she would be most fulfilled training as an obstetrician-gynecologist.
Farah completed her obstetric-gynecology residency at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, one of the largest and busiest women's hospitals in the country. Residency has provided her the training to handle complex patients within the obstetric and gynecologic fields. She has received extensive training in managing high risk pregnancies and is proficient in performing minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Farah joined Celebration Obstetrics and Gynecology in August 2016 and feels blessed to be able to continue her care for women.Medical College of Georgia
