Xavier Roman Hernandez, MD

Dr. Xavier Román Hernandez grew up appreciating obstetrician-gynecologists. He watched his mother, an OB/GYN dedicate her career to women's health. She even saved his life at the moment of delivery. Today, Dr. Román Hernandez is a board-certified OB/GYN whose passion for public health has impacted numerous women in the Kissimmee, Florida, area. Dr. Román Hernandez believes a healthy community benefits every single person living within it.

Growing up in Puerto Rico, Dr. Román Hernandez graduated with clinical honors and a medical degree from Ponce Health Science University. He moved to Orlando, Florida, to complete his OB/GYN residency at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. During his time there, he earned the Spirit of Winnie Award. Dr. Román Hernandez also won the Outstanding Educator Award during his residency. He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, the American Medical Association and the Florida Medical Association.

Dr. Román Hernandez finds delivering babies the most rewarding aspect of his practice. He loves seeing the joyous faces of new parents after the long journey of pregnancy. It is a beautiful moment to share their smiles and happiness.

As a husband and father of three, spending time with his own family is the most precious aspect of his life. When he isn't healing and caring for women's health, Dr. Román Hernandez teaches his kids how to shoot a layup, drive a golf ball or hit a grand slam.
