Birth Experience Coordinator
Amy is an experienced Childbirth Educator with over 30 years of experience at AdventHealth. After receiving her nursing degree, Amy began working as a Medical-Surgical nurse. After having her children, Amy felt impassioned to care for women and children and began working in the Labor and Delivery unit, Newborn Nursery, and the NICU.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governor’s University and now serves as a Clinical Nursing Instructor for Daytona State College, where her own journey in nursing began. Amy is a Basic Life Support instructor and a Neonatal Resuscitation Program instructor certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also certified by Dr. Harvey Karp as a Happiest Baby Educator, holds a national certification in the care of Low-Risk Neonates, and is currently a Certified Childbirth Educator.
Amy uses her dedication and devotion to women’s health to empower nurses to use the most up-to-date evidence-based practice to ensure the safest care is provided to our mothers and tiniest patients. As a Childbirth Educator, she loves to see how her classes boost the knowledge and confidence of expecting parents. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, who is her childhood sweetheart, and their two beautiful children.
