David Marcantel, MD
OB/GYN
Dr. David Marcantel was born in Louisiana and spent his childhood in Louisiana, Texas, and
the Panama Canal Zone. He received his BS from LSU and his medical degree from LSU
School of Medicine in Shreveport Louisiana. Dr. Marcantel and his family were the 5th
residents of Celebration when the town was built in 1996. He opened the practice in 1998
and has been serving the community for over 20 years.
Dr. Marcantel was the Section Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the
Director of Clinical Services at AdventHealth Celebration. His practice takes an active role in
hospital leadership. In 2011, Dr. Marcantel saw a need in the community for pediatric
services and opened Celebration Pediatrics. When he isn’t working, Dr. Marcantel enjoys his
time with his wife and five sons. He is a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church,
volunteers for local charities, and serves on the board of the Celebration Youth Football
League. His hobbies include art, travel, golf, and sports.
